How Not to be Popular by Jennifer Ziegler
***** Five Stars

Overview:
Maggie Dempsey is tired of moving all over the country. Her parents are second-generation hippies who uproot her every year or so to move to a new city. When Maggie was younger, she thought it was fun and adventurous. Now that she’s a teenager, she hates it. When she moved after her freshman year, she left behind good friends, a great school, and a real feeling of belonging. When she moved her sophomore year, she left behind a boyfriend, too. Now that they’ve moved to Austin, she knows better. She’s not going to make friends. She’s not going to fit in. Anything to prevent her from liking this new place and them from liking her. Only . . . things don’t go exactly as planned

Review:

She did what?!?!
This review will be short.

This book was pretty epic I think in some ways. There were things I loved and things I absolutely could not stand!

I loved the whole idea of the book. It was hilarious! Trying to be unpopular and doing outrages things to achieve it. It was so different from the other high school books I've read! I had to keep reading just to find out what crazy thing she'd do next!

I liked the idea of the little romance in the book, not the Trevor part. Her pining over her ex was extrememly annoying but hey girls first love of course that's how she's going to be. But later in the book her next romantic interest felt a bit well flat. Something was just missing from it for me.

My favorite character was Penny all the other characters were kind of flat. I mean her parents were hilarious but I don't think they exsist anywhere. And the ending well it was rushed and I should have seen it coming if I wasn't being distracted by all the mechanical jumpsuits and whatnot. So I finished it slightly disappointed but still happy.

It's a nice read for a laugh :) and the craziness really makes up for all the other parts it's lacking in so just go read it!

Overview:
Roxy Vincent is happy with her life. She's doing great in school and has a great group of friends. She also has a secret crush on her best friend, Adam, who once had feelings for her.

Unfortunately, her friend Jyll intends to date Adam herself. Will Roxy be left wondering why she didn't snag Adam when she had a chance?

Review:
Okay so I only bought this book because I saw there were no reviews. I decided to help out the author and see what this was all about. It was 40 pages and I couldn't even read the whole thing. I had to skim over some parts.

It seems like the very, very rough draft to a story idea not even the whole thing. It wasn't interesting, it really had nothing special about it. And everyone talked really awkwardly.

I'm just glad it was short so I didn't have to waist more of my time.

Putting Boys on the Ledge By Stephie Davis

A funny and heart warming tale about first dates, first kisses, and first loves.

***** Five Stars

Awwwwwe. :) I feel so sappy and lovey dovey now. I should not have read this while my boyfriends gone for three weeks! I just wanted to go have a romantic night cuddled in his arms after this read.

So if you don't like sweet romantic books then you might want to pass on this one!

It was definitely a short read which I was disappointed by. I wanted to find out a little bit more about the after part and maybe have a little bit more drama in the middle.

Definitely worth a read on a night where you need a light hearted book. I got so into it I literally clapped a bit when the Main Character put one of the guys on a ledge. Yeah weirdo me but like I said I got into it!!

I rarely, rarely give books a five star rating. Nuff said.
Happy New Year!! I Hope you all met your goals for last year! I know I didn't. :( Well here's to a new year! With more reviews, hopefully eventually a better looking blogger site and tons more wonderful books!

This Year I'm all about challenges! I want to get my butt reading every chance I get. No more slacking off like last year! I own to many books for that! I have a lot of older horror books tucked away in my closet Diane Hoh, Louis Duncan, R.L. Stine, and Christopher Pike mostly.

The faster I read the more books I can put up on paperbackswap and the more room I have in my home for more! So here's to the New Years! Cheers!

Beware

The crappy books. You read one after another after another until you're sitting there staring at your bookshelf in horror thinking 'what if their all this bad?'. What if none of them are worth reading?! I've been reading so many books latley and I haven't really got into a single one. None has grabbed me in like Harry Potter or even Twilight did. Twilight for god sakes! Someone give me an amazing flippin book before I lose my mind!
